Doesn't matter the genre or how random it is. Post the youtube link
here!
Links on the boards require some doing to get them clickable.
More fun in public chats. Lol
I'll post one, but you'll need to copy it.

Oh bummer, I thought they would be clickable right away like most
message boards. I guess this post is a fail haha.
You can make them such, but you have to do it.
It isn't automatic.
From a security point, that's actually a good thing.
Hey guys.
This is a cool idea for a thread; we have similar threads over at the metal-archives board for metal and non-metal music
But can I make a suggestion?
It's a great thing for people to post random music, but even better if we can get some discussion going. So my suggestion is that if you really want to post a song, you listen to the song of the previous poster and write a short paragraph about it..what impression the piece made, what you think of the instrumentation, etc.
Another suggestion: don't give the name of your song, but just post the link, so that the next person is surprised and might then click on and listen to a song from a genre or artist they wouldn't normally listen to. Again, just more interesting fodder for discussion.
If everyone decides to adopt this, I recommend that you post the name of the song you listened to, because youtube links tend to come down after a while, and so we can keep track of what songs have been posted in the thread. so to be clear: Don't post your song's artist and title, just the link; Do post the name and artist of the previous poster's song (the one which, hopefully, you are going to talk about briefly before posting your own)
I hope this doesn't appear too complicated. Just think it would help to make this thread more interesting and active.
I don't have any songs or time to review at the moment, but I"ll definitely participate later.
I think it's a great idea, Revrend. Unfortunately I tend to be on the zone in a location which barrs youtube access, but if I can participate, I may just.
You could post your Apple Music, or Spotify link?
Most of us have one or the other?
UB 40: "Sing Our Own Song"
80s electronic reggae sounding stuff. Not too dissimilar to the other songs I have heard by then, namely the covers of "Red Red Wine" and "I Can't Help Falling in Love". There might be more hits that I can't remember. Now, I do like some reggae, but it tends to be the type that sounds like a bunch of guys getting together in a shack and tooting on horns and stuff. This is pretty catchy though, and I definitely don't mind those 80s synth sounds at all, they give me a nostalgic feeling. Nice "gang" vocals in the chorus too, and a really cool line from what is either a guitar with a weird effect on it or something synthetic, and I keep listening to it closely to try and figure out what the hell it is. Kinda neat really, and they're not in a hurry either, letting the song play out and go through a lot of reptitions of that killer chorus.
Here's mine then.

And c'mon, copying text from a webpage is easy, especially if you just put the link on a line by itself...no worries at all.

Screamin´ Jay Hawkins - Temptation
An interesting song. Fun.
Not for my playlist, but.
heheh...I really dig Screamin' jay a lot. What a voice! And horns. I think I have a thing for horns.
Selena: "I could Fall in Love"
Chill song. I have heard of Selena but don't think I've listened to her before, and this isn't really what I was expecting. it's quite nice actually; seems to have a bit of a 1970s R&B ballad thing going on with the instrumentaiton. I'm sure the drums are electronic but the instrumentation sounds rather natural and she has a pleasant voice with nice firm control and poise, though it doesn't really stand out to me all that much. Kind of sexy when she does that seductive whispering though. I wish there was an instrumental break of some kind, but that's just the jazz fan in me I suppose...I want to put in aflute solo or something.

A new band, believe it or not. Glad people are still making music like this! Speaking of horns....
Ikebe Shakedown - Chosen Path
Yes, horns.
Reminds me of Latin Jazz.
Could go on my playlist.
Cool, forereel. If you like that there are a few modern bands in this style of instrumental latin/funk that are great. Most notably as well as these guys you've got The Budos Band! They're killer and I recommend them very highly.
BTW you forgot to post a song!
Also, others can play this game too damit!
doorbell started all this. Were he at?
Laughing.
lol! wait... this is a really cool idea!
but since I'm still getting used to this laptop, I'll just say the song I like. I
heard it 2 days ago. it's till september ends by green day and century by fall
out boys.

This one is from my playlist. Robert Crays "Right next door". He combines great vocals and guitar playing into a song that was popular back in the day. Enjoy.

Robert Cray - Right Next Door (Because Of Me)
I like blues, and like this artist.
It is on the modern side, and I lean to the older blue format.
Good.
Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
The music video is to long at the start. It is like a mini movie.
Okay, the song? Lol
It is okay, but sort of bland. I guess the video is worth it, because it gives the song more punch.
Fore Reel:
Like the old saying goes "If you liked the last one, you're gonna love this one." Enjoy BTW, I love the lyrics to this song, simple...but I can relate too it..

Sesame Street: "Rubber Ducky"
Well, it's Ernie! This reminds me of a guy I know and used to hang out with until he married a minister's daughter and stopped associating with evil people like me. haha
We were hanging out one night with another friend, playing DVDs and such, and he brought some decent stuff. I was pretty cool with Faulty Towers, good show. But I didn't really understand why he brought the Sesame Street one. It is strange watching this stuff as an adult because I don't have a particular nostalgia for it. But some of the songs are kind of cool I guess. I like that jazzy one with all the numbers. "Twelve! doo-doo-doo-da-doo-doo!"
I really don't knwo what to say about this one. it's cute. Quack quack. haha
Ok, sticking with the 70s...one of my favourite tunes from arguably one of the best albums in rock history right here

Blue Oyster Cult: Dominance and Submission
Like one of these songs you hear at the beach, or that sort of thing.
It’s lively.
The Cucky song was tossed in for llaughs. I was teasing someone about the bath and such.
It has another side to it, and some different lyrics, but… Evil. Grin.
Don’t have a song yet.
Detachable Penis.
Keb' Mo' - She Just Wants To Dance
It's o.k, but not for my playlist.
Sort of blues, but to slow of a song for the title.
I was expecting something more upbeat. Lol
Hank Williams Jr - Naked Women & Beer
Yeah, a real bar song. Lol
Honky tonky, but that was to be when I saw the title.
Liked it.
